Death by Chocolate
Every year in Twin Falls the local Rotary Club hosts a "Death by Chocolate" fundraiser. They invite businesses and schools in the community to participate in bringing something chocolate for the community to taste. They also have a competition based on the category your chocolate dish is entered into. For each category there is a judges choice, a people's choice, and a high school award. My Food Production and Management class competed against many local businesses and the local culinary arts school.
My first year teaching my students took 1st in the high school division and 3rd place in people's choice.
My second year my students took 1st in the high school division, 1st in judges' choice, and 1st in people's choice.
My third year we again took 1st in the high school division, 1st in judges' choice, and 1st in people's choice.
